What's in a song? A step-by-step guide to creating music

Music is dynamic and complex with both intellectual and spiritual properties. It can be relatively simple or exceedingly complicated. The Movers try to strike a tasteful balance between these variables. Whether in our original music or covering our favorite songs, the whole band comes together in order to create a cohesive sound. John Chaffer's drumming sets up the rhythmic basis, Shadows guitar will dictate the melody, and Anson's bass will strike a balance between the two, leaving a tapestry of sound for Earthquake to sing a play harp over top of. Without any one of these pieces the band would lack cohesion. We believe that live music is a delicate dance, and putting a band together allows us to transcend the limitations each member faces as an individual!
